KOENIGSEGG AGERA RS MAKES CANADIAN DEBUT

AND AJAC WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The latest from today’s media preview at the Canadian International AutoShow
TORONTO, February 15, 2018 – Koeningsegg AB CEO Christian von Koenigsegg kicked off Media Preview Day at the 2018 Canadian International AutoShow (Feb. 16-25) this morning by unveiling the Koenigsegg Agera RS, which made its Canadian debut.
Following the Koenigsegg’s unveiling, the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) named its Canadian Car of the Year and Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year winners.

The Honda Accord was named 2018 Canadian Car of the Year, and the Chrysler Pacifica was announced as the 2018 Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year.

"We're thrilled to declare the Honda Accord to be the Canadian Car of the Year for 2018, and the Chrysler Pacifica to be the Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year," said AJAC President Mark Richardson. "They've both been decided through the most rigorous system of testing possible by AJAC's automotive professionals. They're both deserving of being considered the very best vehicles you can buy in 2018."

Following the AJAC awards, 41 new vehicle reveals are on the schedule for Media Preview Day before the show opens to the public on Friday, Feb. 16.

Kicking things off on Friday morning (10:30 a.m., Room 801, South Building, MTCC) will be a keynote address from Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne ahead of the first Automotive Intelligence Series panel discussion, The Future in Focus, featuring four Canadian automotive CEOs.

Admission to each Automotive Intelligence Series event is free with paid admission to the show. For more information on the series, go to autoshow.ca/automotive-intelligence-series.

Meanwhile, time is running out to purchase tickets at a discount. Available now at the AutoShow’s website, www.autoshow.ca, regular $24 tickets can be purchased at a 10 per cent saving until the show opens on Fri., Feb. 16, at the beginning of the three-day-long Family Day Weekend in Ontario.
