AT THE 2018 CANADIAN INTERNATIONAL AUTOSHOW

Automotive Intelligence Series among many feature attractions
TORONTO, February 17, 2018 – The 2018 Canadian International AutoShow (Feb. 16-25) at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre is in full swing and there are many new and exciting feature attractions to take in this Family Day long weekend.
The Automotive Intelligence Series (AIS), a new public education series kicked off yesterday with the ‘Future in Focus’ panel discussion featuring four of Canada’s top automotive executives:


  • Don Romano, President and CEO, Hyundai Auto Canada Corp.

  • Joni Paiva, President, Nissan Canada Inc.

  • Ted Lancaster, Vice President & COO, Kia Canada Inc.

  • Brian Fulton, President and CEO, Mercedes-Benz Canada

Moderated by Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC), president Mark Richardson, the wide-ranging discussion covered several pressing industry-related topics including electrification, autonomous cars and the future of NAFTA. Click here for a short video from the discussion.


The AIS continues today with ‘Cannabis and Cars. Are We Ready?’, which will examine how the pending legalization of cannabis in Canada will impact driving. To register for this session, click here.

In addition to AIS, the show has several feature attractions to experience this weekend and on Family Day (Feb. 19) presented by Allstate. Among these are the 50th anniversary of Hot Wheels display, the 70 Years of Porsche exhibit and the Art & the Automobile.
