Who uses the Weibo?
Among all the respondents, there were 179 (86.9 percent) who were Weibo users. The others did not use Weibo. About 44 percent of Weibo users had used Weibo for half a year to one year. About 30 percent had used it for one year to two years. The most popular Weibo service was Sina Weibo, chosen by 55.8 percent of respondents. The second was Tencent Weibo. The other microblog websites, such as Sohu Weibo and Hexun Weibo, were used by fewer than three percent of respondents. This finding is consistent with a report (CNNIC 2012) about the current microblog website market share in China.

Weibo Use Frequencies
About 44 percent of respondents used Weibo seven days a week, about 15 percent used it five days a week, and almost 14 percent used Weibo three days a week. The average Weibo usage rate was about five days per week, with a standard deviation of two days. Most respondents (about 71 percent) would spend less than half an hour on Weibo every time they logged in. The average number of hours of Weibo use per week was about 11 hours, with a standard deviation of 8 hours.
