The Names of Salts
The names of salts are composed of two words:
cation + anion
noun in noun in
Gen.sing. Nom.sing.
The cation’s name is always written with the capital letter, the anion’s name with the small one. Latin anion’s names are formed by endings and suffixes:

The anion’s names of hydracids with organic base is: hydro... idum. E.g.: Adrenalini hydrochloridum -adrenalini hydrochloride
The names of basic salts are formed by the prefix sub-: Bismuthi subnitras – bismuth subnitrate.
The names of organic sodium and potassium salts consist of the name of their base and the words natrium, kalium in Nom.sing. These names are written with a hyphen.
E.g.: Barbitalum – natrium – barbital – sodium
Benzylpenicillinum – kalium – benzylpenicillin – potassium
