Computer memory is measured in BYTES.
A single digit 0 or 1 is called a Bit.
8 bits = 1 byte (e.g. can represent the letter A)
1 KB kilobyte = 1,024 bytes thousand)
1 MB megabyte = 1,024,000 bytes (million)
1 GB gigabyte = 1,024,000,000 bytes (thousand million)
1 TB terabyte = 1,099,511,627,776 bytes (billion)
