Offenders owing restitution may be supervised in custodial or community settings (i.e., probation, parole, or community-based residential alternatives). Some of the supervision tasks will be unique to each setting, while many of the tasks of the case manager will be constant regardless of where the offender lives. Many of the general supervision tasks are included in the Tarrant County, Texas Policy and Procedures Manual in the section on probationer payments. Portions of the agency’s policy statement were excerpted earlier in the chapter in the discussion of restitution as a priority. Additional sections are adapted below showing the casework procedures required to carry out this policy.
