CloseUp Meeting
Parents/Students:

There will be a meeting for all 10th‑12th Grade students on October 17th at 3:00p.m in room 208 for students thinking about going to CloseUp (Washington, D.C.) in April 2006.

If you are interested, please let Ms. Ishmiel know no later than Monday morning, October 17th so that ELO teachers may be informed of students who will be missing their class.

We will be discussing fundraising, cost of the trip, dates, sponsors.

Middle School Fundraiser
The Middle School Classes are planning a trip to Chicago. Please donate your old cell phones and your used ink cartridges to help us earn money. Cell phones and ink cartridges can be dropped off at Room 124 or in the Main Office.

TARTAR CORNER


Our Homecoming game was Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005. The MSD Tartars came away with a W! MSD 6, Lakeside Christian 4. Mike Davis led with 4 goals, Jon Stec with 1 banana kick goal and Nate Boyd did another somersault throw in for a goal. Mike has 18 goals so far this season!! He is followed by Nate and Jon with 7 goals each. The Tartars tried to make .500 against New Life on 10-11-05. We fell short of .500 with a loss against New Life 9, MSD 6.
The Lady Tartars played on 10-6-05. MSD 33, VCA 43. Leading scorers were Amelia Smith - 20 points, Clarissa Malone - 10 points, Jackie Gilmore - 15 rebounds. All Lady Tartars played a great defensive game. The Lady Tartars traveled to Lansing and came away with win! MSD 27, Lakeside Christian 25. Virginia led in scoring with 7 points. The Lady Tartars came up short with a loss against Faith 43, MSD 30.
The 7-8 grade soccer game scheduled for 10-5 was canceled due to lack of players on our team. The last game of the season for the junior Tartars was played on 10-11-05. The Junior tartars played well their last game: MSD-0, Port Huron-1. Ray McCall had 20 saves.

Middle School Field Trip

The middle school students will be attending a field trip to the Michigan Historical Museum in Lansing on Monday, October 17th from 8:30am‑2:20 pm. If you have any questions please contact Stacey Jenkinson at 800‑622‑6730 ext. 1124
