Power Greater than ourselves, let’s read the last paragraph of Chapter More About Alcoholism again. On page 43, last paragraph, the book states:
“Once more The alcoholic at certain times has no effective mental defense against the first drink. Except in a few cases, neither he nor any other human being can provide such a defense. His defense must come from a Higher Power.”
(page 43, ¶ Lets dispel a myth that’s quite often heard in the meeting rooms of
Alcoholics Anonymous. Many well intentioned people make the statement When I feel like drinking, I remember where I came from I think the drink through and I keep my memory green Well,
