F.1

To follow up production technical infrastructure

F.1.1

Carries out the maintenance (preventive, general and emergency) of devices, structures, eknik sürecin sağlıklı işlemesi için cihazların, yapıların ya da malzemelerin bakımını (önleyici, genel ve acil) yapar.

Observes and follows up the information by the related broadcasting team and technical team for detection of possible problems.

Continuously monitors and controls the broadcast transmitted to the central control room for supervising the compliance of the television channel and broadcasting transmission/distirbution media and/or platforms with the technical requirements.

Continuously controls the production and playout software, equipment and database for the proper running of them; ensures that periodic maintenance is carried out.

F.1.6

Manages the works to be done regarding backup of the program to be broadcasted by the central control and follows up the process in case of blackout.

F.1.7

Ensures pre-watching of the program record to understand that the recorded program to be broadcasted is ready for broadcasting.

F.1.8

Analyzes the operational efficiency of the technical infrastructure of program production for applying effective technological changes.

F.2

To control production technical infrastructure

F.2.1

Carries out basic repairs and settings of electronic and mechanical equipment; ensures that such equipment is calibrated.

F.2.2

Follows up the process of immediate repairing of the malfuntioned electronic and mechanical equipment and system.

F.2.3

Follows up and manages the technical equipment’s transportation, location and installation activities.

F.2.4

Creates an inventory for the technical equipment available within the body of the institution/organization and controls such inventory

Creates the broadcast recording system to be used for the programs which are compulsory according to the legal statute and will be requested to be re-broadcasted and records to be made for broadcasting follow up; follows up the problem free operation of system.

Upon request, ensures that a definitely dated, houred broadcasting record is removed from the system and presented as requested.

Ensures that the technical processes and procedures related to program production are in compliance with the laws, regulations and standards.

  1. TESTING, ASSESSMENT AND CERTIFICATION

Testing and assessment for certification with respect to national qualifications based on Television Technical Director (Level 5) Occupational Standard shall be held in written and/or oral forms, theoretically and practically, in testing and assessment centers where required conditions are met.


Testing and assessment method and practice principles shall be detailed with national qualifications to be drawn up pursuant to this occupational standard. Activities regarding testing, assessment and certification shall be conducted within the framework of Vocational Qualification Authority, Testing and Certification Regulation.
