5 Telephone Song (H+G) 14 Mask (H)

6 Sketches Of Spain (H+S) 15 In The Dutch Mountains (ac.)

7 Adieu, Sweet Bahnhof (H) 16 Cabins

8 The Train 17 Tons Of Ink (H)

9 A Touch Of Henry Moore (H)

Songs 1 (first part), 2, 6, 7, 9-17 released on Video Urk, CMV 49843-2 (early 1990), songs 1(f.p.)-7, 9-17 on DoCD Urk + DVD Urk, Sony 8697000709, 9.10.06),

songs 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14-17 televised by VARA (1989),

songs 8, 10, 12-15 by VARA (25.5.89).

Notes: Urk Video recorded in Amsterdam. What came from what show is difficult to determine with only one audience recording.

Joke’s vest! It's neat to see how she wears a vest on the way to the back-stage area, there it is missing, and how it again appears in the second part of The Dream. Intros of The Dream, The Train and Cabins are different to the audience tape of the second show -> without vest = first show!?!

VARA 1989: The songs were broadcast in the following sequence: 12, 7, 6, 11, 9, 14-17. Urk Video: concert sequence. In comparison to the TV broadcast newly mixed. Song intro shortened (7) or missing (11). Henk's commentary missing from song 9 and before and after song 14, mixed out at song 7.

VARA - 25th May 1989: The songs were broadcast in the following sequence: 12, 14, 15, 10, 8, 13. Song 15 incomplete. Telecast in "Theatertour - Twee maanden door de Nederlandse bergen". For complete broadcast, add Entries 132A and 142B. (Song 8 not on DVD Urk!)

Song 9: JG: perc., songs 6, 11, 13: HH: base drum. Songs 14 and 15 with Het Amsterdams Saxofoonkwartet (The Amsterdam Saxophone Quartet): Rob Hauser, André Hemmers, Bart Kok, Henk van Twillert.

Some songs also on DoCD Urk. Most songs are from Utrecht, but Adieu, Sweet Bahnhof, Bike In Head, Mask, In The Dutch Mountains (ac.) und Home Before Dark are certainly from Amsterdam (Entries 143 and 144), equally Adieu clip (rel. Oct. '89).

Videocomp. Vest has Home Before Dark (Feb. '90) too.

Song 16 not on Urk. Were some songs remixed as on the video? Because the band was well rehearsed (they played at a constant high level), it's difficult to say, which songs of the Amsterdam concerts are on Urk.

A small part of +song 11 was telecast on 11th March 2006 in a trailer for “Avond van de grote boekenquiz” (Ned 3). The quiz was aired on 13th March. With a Nits song? +Songs 12 and 17 were aired in an unknown TV program.

1 Yes Or No (H) ("Version 1")

2 Ronald Razorblade (H)

Songs 1+2 “released” on single, DBS 10.005 (Not off. rel.?),

song 2 on single, DBS 10.005 (12.3.77), on MC The Nits, CD 8704 (April '87, bootleg tape).

Notes: There was obviously some difficulty in recording Yes Or No to everyone's

satisfaction. The song was finished by HH and MP on 15th Oct. at Air

Studio 1, London, and (on the same day (?)) at Roundhouse Studio, London.

Some years ago, I bought 2 singles with the intention to sell the one with worse sound quality. Luckily I didn't. Recently (: Aug. '96) I was not a little surprised when I was told that there are some singles with a different version of Yes Or No! OK, let's have a look at my singles: same sleeves, same labels, same label numbers, but the matrix numbers are different (see Entries 003+003B). The basic tracks seem to be similar. Version 2 has percussion instead of handclaps, more backing vocals ... and a better mix. MC version, version 2 and the LP version are similar.

Advanced copies were given to radio stations. One DJ said that the mix was not good enough. So it was remixed at Durecco Studio. Just in time or were some copies of the first edition already released? Maybe the first edition was never officially released and the 2nd edition was released on 12th March.

Tom said that version 1 was most probably recorded at Studio Nederhorst den Berg.

There should only be 10 copies of the orig. bootleg tape.
