These exposed electrical connections present a shock hazard
that can cause injury or death.


REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES
NTSM01 TERMINATION UNIT
WBPEEUI350001B0 7 - from the NTSM01 termination unit. Figure
3-2
shows the
NTSM01 circuit board layout.
To replace the termination unit. Refer to
SHUTDOWN PROCEDURE
in Section 4 to shutdown the INESM01 module. Turnoff power to termination unit. Disconnect the power wiring from E and E. Disconnect the Ethernet cable. Disconnect the termination unit cable from the P and
P13 connectors on the termination unit. Remove the two mounting screws securing it and remove the termination unit from the field termination panel. Verify that the fuse is installed on the replacement termination unit and set the jumpers for the type of Ethernet cable being used (refer to Table
3-1
).
8. Secure the replacement termination unit circuit board to the field termination panel with the two mounting screws. Attach the termination unit cable connector J to connector P on the termination unit. Attach termination unit cable connector J to connector P on the termination unit. Attach the Ethernet cable to appropriate connector on the termination unit. Connect the wire from system common on the system power bus bar to Eon the termination unit. Connect the wire from 24 VDC on the system power bus bar to Eon the termination unit. Turn on power to the termination unit. The open systems manager should startup automatically upon power up.
