There should be coordination between the sector and the FDI promotion. Lead generation is effective with long-term relationship building activities and appropriate marketing. Also, with the help of proper cluster-based initiatives, new economy firms can be attracted. The aftercare and product management activities should also betaken care to maximize long- term benefits from inward investment. Investment promotion agencies face tremendous competition in the marketplace and they should be provided with some autonomy to prove valuable.
