suggests that such focus is linked to greater value creation when EY researchers analyzed the operational and market performance of 25 biopharma companies, they found that companies with greater therapeutic focus surpassed those with less focus on a number of measures, including historical revenue growth and return on invested capital. Although the data are specific to life sciences organizations, the reality is that as the health ecosystem continues to change, all organizations must identify what differentiates them, and optimize their operations around this core expertise. As they optimize their growth strategies, health sciences and wellness organizations will increasingly adopt one of four business models, becoming Breakthrough innovators, Disease managers, Lifestyle managers or Efficient producers. (See Figures 10 and 11.) Succeeding in each of these business models require specific data expertise.
