  • Roundtable Discussion on EU Open Skies Decision - January 31, 2003, at the McGill University Faculty of Law, attended by approximately 50 registrants.

  • McGill Air and Space Society – Inaugurated on Dec. 17, 2003, with ICAO Council President Dr. Assad Kotaite giving the keynote luncheon address; we have held several other successful luncheon events during past years.

  • Worldwide Conference on Current Challenges in International Aviation – Sept. 24-26, 2004 (co-sponsored by the International Civil Aviation Organization, and preceding the 35th Session of the ICAO Assembly) held at the Delta Centre-Ville Hotel in Montreal with more than 350 attendees from more than 70 nations;

  • Conference on International Aviation Policy for Canada – May 13-14, 2005 (sponsored by SSHRC and the Conference Board of Canada), held at the Faculty of Law of McGill University with approximately 100 participants;

  • Conference on the Airline Industry’s Financial Crisis, Brussels, Belgium – May 19-20, 2005 (co-sponsored by the University of Leuven Institute for International Law, and the University of Leiden Institute for Air & Space Law);

  • Conference on Aviation & Space: Are the Skies Brightening? - September 29-October 1, 2005 (co-sponsored by the American Bar Association) held at the Marriott Chateau Champlain Hotel in Montreal, and attended by 250 registrants.

  • Conference on AIR NAVIGATION: FLYING THROUGH CONGESTED SKIES, sponsored by the International Civil Aviation Organization and McGill University’s Institute of Air & Space Law, and held on September 27-29, 2006, at ICAO Headquarters in Montreal. The Conference was attended by approximately 175 registrants.

  • The Air & Space Law Seminar, led by McGill University’s Institute of Air & Space Law in conjunction with The Civil Aviation Authority of Macau SAR, and ADA - Administration of Airports, LTD was held at the University of Macau, on April 16-18, 2007. The Seminar was attended by approximately 75 registrants.

  • International Conference on Contemporary Issues in Air & Space Law, held 18-21 April 2007, at the Wynne Hotel & Casino, in Macau, China, led by McGill University’s Institute of Air & Space Law in conjunction with the Civil Aviation Authority of Macau SAR, and ADA - Administration of Airports, Ltd., was attended by approximately 125 registrants.

  • Conference on Aviation Safety, Security & the Environment: The Way Forward, sponsored by the International Civil Aviation Organization and McGill University’s Institute of Air & Space Law, and held on September 14-16, 2007, at the Hilton Bonaventure Hotel in Montreal. The Conference was attended by approximately 250 registrants from around the world.

  • Worldwide Conference on Aviation Safety, Security & the Environment in Montreal on September 14-16, 2007, in cooperation with the International Civil Aviation Organization prior to the 36th meeting of the ICAO General Assembly, attracting more than 300 delegates from around the world.;

  • Workshop on Introduction to Air Transport, Air Law & Regulation, organized by McGill University’s Institute of Air & Space Law in conjunction with Airports Authority of India and the Centre for Aviation Studies of the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (India), held at the Radisson Hotel in New Delhi, India, on April 21-23, 2008. The Seminar was attended by approximately 75 registrants.

  • International Conference on Contemporary Issues in Air Transport, Air Law & Regulation, held 23-25 April 2008, at the Radisson Hotel, in New Delhi, India, led by McGill University’s Institute of Air & Space Law in conjunction with the Airports Authority of India and the Centre for Aviation Studies of the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (India). The conference was attended by approximately 150 registrants.

  • Workshop on Space Security Index (2008) – May 15-16, 2008 held at the Faculty of Law of McGill University, with approximately 40 international participants
