What Information We Collect
Account Information. When you first launch the App and/or the Sites, we assign you a user id but we do not require you to provide your name or email address. In addition, you are required to create a unique username for posting content or replying to a content. You may choose a username that contains personally identifiable information such as your name. This username may be changed to any unique username at any time. Once the username has been changed, the old username is no longer reserved for use by yourself. Any content produced with the old username will remain and continue to have said username as the poster.
We may also collect the following information:
Device Phonebook . We may, with your consent(permissions granted), collect information from your device’s phonebook. We do this, for example, so that you can share/mention squawks with your phonebook contacts. You can always revoke this consent by changing the settings on your device.
Geolocation Data. We ask you to share your location information from your mobile device. If you choose not to, some features will not function. Location information is used to determine your nearby Squawks and chat rooms. You can revoke your consent by changing the settings or preferences on your device and/or by deleting Pelichat from your device.
Your Content and Usage. We collect any content you submit to the application. The content includes anything in or attached to your Squawks (for example, photos and GIFs), replies and likes, as well as information about when you submitted the content and other activities.
Other Information you Provide to Us. When you interact with our application or otherwise communicate with Pelichat in any way, we will collect the information you choose to share with us.

We may combine this information with other information that we have collected about you.
Social Media Sites. You can like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, and promote us on other social media sites. We collect information about who has liked us or followed us. However, we don't associate your social media account with your Pelichat account.
