PENSIONS BILL [MONEY]


Queen's recommendation having been signified—

Motion made, and Question put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 52(1)(a) (Money resolutions and way and means resolutions in connection with bills),
That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Pensions Bill, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of money provided by Parliament of—

(a) any expenditure of the Secretary of State or the Lord Chancellor under the Act, and


(b) any increase attributable to the Act in the sums payable under any other Act out of money so provided.—[Ms Bridget Prentice.]

PENSIONS BILL [WAYS AND MEANS]


Motion made, and Question put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 52(1)(a) (Money resolutions and way and means resolutions in connection with bills),
That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Pensions Bill, it is expedient to authorise—

(1) the levying of charges under the Act—


(a) for the purpose of meeting expenditure of the Secretary of State relating to the establishment or expenses of the Board of the Pension Protection Fund;


(b) for the purposes of the Pension Protection Fund maintained under the Act;


(c) for the purpose of meeting expenditure payable out of the Fraud Compensation Fund maintained under the Act;


(2) the levying of charges under the Pension Schemes Act 1993 for the purpose of meeting—


(a) the expenses of the Pensions Regulator (including the expenses of establishing it);

(b) the costs of the legal assistance scheme established in connection with proceedings before the Pensions Regulator Tribunal;


(c) the expenses of the Pensions Compensation Board;


(3) the making of payments into the Consolidated Fund.—[Ms Bridget Prentice.]
