LEARNING OUTCOMES Upon completing the course students will, through assessment activities, show evidence of their ability to
• Navigate and use e-learning and the myNUST student portal
• Demonstrate knowledge of the basic computer parts and their functions
Perform computer booting, shutdown and multitasking in a contemporary Operating System environment
• Apply basic operations on files and folders under contemporary Operating Systems
• Use application packages for Word-processing, Spreadsheets, Presentation graphics and databases to communicate and store information
• Use the Internet for information exchange exemplified by software such as Web Browsers and E-Mail programmes;

IMPORTANT TO NOTE

• Tests will be conducted on a face-to-face basis via myNUST (e-learning) at all campuses and regional centres for all modes of study types. Should any change occur, such would be communicated in advance on the myNUST platform.
• Students are required to present student cards at the venue.
• According to the yearbook (general information and regulations, academic dishonesty, specifically cheating in assessments is considered a serious matter that could result in immediate cancellation of the course and further disciplinary leading to expulsion from the institution.
• As stipulated in the yearbook (general information and regulations, full-time and part- time students are required to attend 80% of class/contact sessions. Failure to do so may result in failing the course.
After each written assessment, student marks should be available in the following week or two at most. A student must ensures he is satisfied with the marks and that the marks are correctly reflecting on the myNUST gradebook and the kiosk respectively.


5 CUSS
2024 Students are given one week to verify their marks after receiving it.
