Found in the late 1950s-early 1960s in Mildura. This is probably a 1920s "Stokes" strike struck from original rusted and subsequently clnd dies, not one of the more recent replicas. As struck. Rare. One of only 6 examples struck by him!!! Only 3 genuine examples recorded, 2 of which are in museums. A similar Port Phillip 1oz sold in our auction 209.
