All diff selection with diff stamp die (long or short top bar on 2nd "E" of Queensland), diff knives, diff flap imprints or diff colour stamp -blue or indigo, similar plain envelope U 1900 & 1896 use of 2d with no cnr numerals for Mt Morgan. 1874 Lettercards: 1911 QV 1d double reply card specialised range inc with "Strathdee Fine" wmk perf 11 (2 UN) -1 with misperfed inner card, another on cream stock CTO (addressed) that has been perforated in a diff way -all others have the outer card perfs done with card folded & perfs meeting at corners, this has been perf opened out & corner perfs cross fully & also folded differently internally, plus perf 13 UN & CTO JY 26 11 (addressed & sm stain), then w/o wmk perf 11 UN & CTO on cream stock & perf 13 UN, note that 2 of the perf 13 have pink gum, all others have clear to yellow gum. All grey-white stock unless noted. VF-superb fresh. H&G A6. Rare group. (8). $150 $200

1875 Postcards: 1880-88 QV Chalon 1d red 1st issue specialised range with bright carmine on white & cream stocks, plus on cream U Nov 19 1880 -very early use, only issued on 28th October, bright rose with 2 U in 1884 inc printed both sides for "Singer Manufacturing Co", plus pale rose 2 shades, then "lilac-rose" shades (3), plus 2 U 1887 (all diff shades or sizes), & finally deep lake on buff (2) inc 1 U 1887. All UN unless notes, mostly F-VF fresh. H&G 1-3. Scarce range. (14) $200 $300

1880 Postcards: 1894 Official use of 1d red card with message on reverse headed OHMS, plus another with printed reverse message for Govt Labour Bureau dated 1891, with another message written across it & used in 1902, apparently to use up unused old stock. 1881 Postcard: 1909 use of QV 3d violet to Austria with "Brisbane SE 23 09" cds & Salzburg arrival cds. Sender had tried to use a card opt SPECIMEN but it was spotted some time after postmarking with 1d & ½d added & cancelled by m/s crosses -"MEN" of SPECIMEN visible above ½d stamp. H&G 6. 1882 Postcards: 1891-1904 QV 1d red double reply specialist range with 1891 3 UN & 2 U intact to Victoria & uprated to Germany, plus front halves (2) to Victoria, 1 with printed reverse dated 1896, plus 1899 perf 10 & 1904 perf 12, both UN -these last 2 rare. This clearly shows how new monarch dies were not made until needed as there was no KEVII 18/- or 19/- values, indicating, as these sheets show, that the QV type was still available into the reign of KGV!
