QM and its Effects on Firm Performance
The QM dimensions can serve to identify EM
and QEM dimensions. For this reason, an exhaustive review about these QM dimensions was carried out. Quality management theory has developed from three sources contributions from quality gurus (Deming 1982; Juran
1988); formal assessment processes (the
European Quality Award, the Malcolm
Baldrige National Quality Award, the Deming
Prize); and measurement studies (Flynn et al.
1994; Saraph et al. 1989). Quality management theory has identified several QM practices that maybe used to measure QM levels
