INSTRUCTIONS: WHAT TO LOOK FOR:

STEP ONE: Examine your body front and back in the mirror Then look at the right and left sides with your arms raised		A.B.C.D.E. of Skin Cancer
		Asymmetry: One half unlike the other
STEP TWO: Bend elbows and look carefully at forearms, upper underarms, and palms		Border: Irregular or poorly defined
STEP THREE: Look at the back of your legs and feet, the spaces between your toes, and on the soles		Color: Changes from one area to another Shades of tan and brown Black and sometimes White Red or Blue
STEP FOUR: Examine the back of your neck and scalp with a hand mirror Part hair for a closer look		Diameter: Greater than 6mm
STEP FIVE: Check your back and buttocks with a hand mirror		Elevated: Mole is raised above the surface Surface is uneven
