Affirmation LD Case PRINT
EVERYONE will be able to have a voice in political business and policy making. Kraus says that younger, poorer, less educated, and more racially diverse people are more likely to avoid the polls than anyone else. This causes political inequality because their voices are not being heard due to them not turning up to vote and cast in their voices. And with the people who do show up, which MAINLY consists of those who are more rich, more smart, and have American roots, get more of a say in political business and policy making, which results in favoritism towards this group of people and leads to political inequality. Now, this can all be solved by making it mandatory for all citizens to vote. This way, it encourages those who are discouraged to vote that voting is important and that their voice truly does matter. This way, candidates can spend more money and more time on addressing current issues and how they are going to fix it rather than having people show up to the polls to vote them.

Conclusion

So, in conclusion, judge, vote in favor of affirmation of having compulsory voting enforced in the U.S. There are a lot of benefits that come through compulsory voting, one of which is political equality. And, as U.S. citizens, it not only their right but also their responsibility to vote, and, as Kraus puts it, if Americans want the government to truly be of the people, by the people, and for the people, not some but EVERYONE needs to be at the polls on Election Day. Thank you.
