Affirmation LD Case
I affirm the resolution: “Resolved: In a democracy, voting ought to be compulsory.”
Framework
My value is political equality. Political equality is when citizens have the power and voice to influence government choices and decisions. Choosing United States leaders allow political equality.
My value criterion is just laws. The definition I will be using of just is equal and not discriminative or biased. And in order to reach political equality, just laws have to be implemented and compulsory voting is a just law.
