Focus: Machine Learning, Text Mining

Developed novel feature extraction algorithms for story detection which is deployed in classification and clustering analysis.

Currently working on semantic network analysis of story clusters.

Working as a member of the IT tech team in coordination with communication experts. Developed an online narrative analysis tool.

Aug. 2008 - Aug. 2009 Graduate Research Assistant - Department of Computer Science, Arizona State University

Focus: Machine Learning on biomedical image data

Developed a novel supervised learning algorithm on MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and PET scan (Positron Emission Tomography) images for detection of Alzheimer’s disease onset in brain.

Developed a novel framework which integrates subspace kernel learning with clustering and classification.

• Received training on Windows 2003 Server, MS SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio .NET 2005.

Teamed with 20 trainees in a web application project based on C# and ASP.NET.
