Roles and responsibilities
The following are the three key roles in the SCE Management process Project Managers have single point accountability for establishing Technical Integrity in the Asset’s project phases Asset Managers have single point accountability for safeguarding Technical Integrity of their Assets for the
Operate and, as appropriate, Abandon phases. They are also accountable for ensuring that the Technical Integrity of existing Assets is maintained at a tolerable level, both in terms of the physical hardware and supporting processes.
The Project and Asset Managers are jointly accountable for successfully managing the transition from the Asset’s project phases to the Operate phase.
• Technical Authorities are responsible for providing discipline specific technical advice and support to the Project and
Asset Managers and are the owners of the performance standards for their assigned SCE groups. Technical
Authorities will be identified in accordance with the EP
Discipline Controls and Assurance Framework (DCAF).
