| SCE group LS001 SCE group title Personal Survival Equipment (PSE) Personal Survival Equipment supplied on an installation to enable personnel to escape to the Temporary Refuge and/or evacuate the installation during a major incident. To provide all personnel escaping from a Major Hazard with suitable protective clothing and equipment. To provide personnel within emergency response roles with suitable protective clothing and equipment. At category of equipment level SCE group LS002 SCE group title Rescue Facilities Primary Rescue facilities for rescue from the sea following evacuation from an offshore platform, or from a helicopter ditching. To provide a good prospect of successfully rescuing casualties following immediate notification of their entry to the sea, under conditions which the need to rescue personnel from the sea is likely to occur. At category of equipment level SCE group LS003 SCE group title Lifeboats/Totally Enclosed Propelled Survival Craft (TEMPSC) Lifeboats, Free-fall lifeboats or Totally Enclosed Motor Propelled Survival Craft (TEMPSC) maybe required during a major incident. To facilitate a secondary means of evacuation of personnel, independent of external resources, when the primary means is unavailable. At item level i.e. per Lifeboat Typical items included are life jackets, (offshore), immersion suits, (offshore, grab bags offshore - containing survival suits, self-rescue sets, life jackets, flame- retardant gloves, torches and chemical light sticks, respiratory protection aids (for escape) , BA sets (for escape, fire suits and fire rescue equipment, chemical handling suits and protective equipment Standby vessel and onboard facilities Fast rescue craft and launch and recovery mechanisms Daughter craft and launch and recovery mechanisms Dacon scoops which are deployed when other rescue methods are not safe to deploy due to weather conditions Radar system and related components Download 0.52 Mb.
