The arts and crafts of Northern Luzon depict the rich culture and traditions of the Filipinos. The textiles produced in every province signify their culture based on how it was made. The materials, the techniques, and the symbols used in these arts and crafts have their own cultural and traditional significance. People have used a variety of art elements and principles to express their distinctiveness.
The Ifugaos make the lingling-o, which symbolizes fertility. They carve the bul' ul, a representation of their ancestor spirits, in their rituals. They practice tattooing as part of their rich culture and traditions.
