We are searching for a talented and motivated individual looking for a dynamic, fast paced environment in which to work. This unpaid intern position is ideal for a current student or recent graduate from a Construction Management Degree program who is looking to get on the job experience in blueprint reading, estimating, take offs, and specialty construction. Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Assist with project data entry management using Marco’s CiaoNet database. Update opening date projections and project related data within electronic project database for company use.

  • Coordinate equipment orders and verify orders, shipping, tracking and delivery dates to ensure project is delivered on-time.

  • Update project layouts and designs in CiaoNet database.

  • Track LOI, Leases, and building permit issuance to ensure project is delivered on-time.

  • Coordinate and oversee Purchase Order process and tracking for company-managed projects.

  • Serve as liaison between Franchisees, Area Representatives and Marco’s Support Center Construction Department.

  • Provided additional assistance to the Director of Construction as needed.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Able to develop new skills and knowledge quickly.

  • Demonstrate expanding knowledge of construction details.

  • Proficient with MS office: Word, Excel, Outlook and MS Projects

  • Possess good self-organizational and management skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications/Requirements: 

Currently enrolled in Construction Management, Engineering, or related education program; prior internships or work experience preferred but not required.

Location

The Construction Intern position will be based out of the Intern’s home.  Marco’s Director Construction is based out of Texas and may schedule meetings to meet on an as needed basis.  This internship has the potential to become a full time position with Marco’s Franchising, LLC upon graduation.

Maintenance of Way Management Trainee

In this field-oriented concentration, you’ll be preparing for placement as a manager with responsibility for the repair, maintenance and installation of our track system. You will learn train and track dynamics, track inspection, construction and maintenance operations, and much more. After completion of a 12 month training program, you will manage maintenance employees such as: rail gangs that replace rail and spikes, tie gangs that perform scheduled crosstie replacement, and bridge and building gangs that maintain and repair the bridges and trestles on the railroad. Interested candidates must be willing to relocate across our 22 state operating territory and be willing to travel.

Land Development Entry Level EIT (Seeking August 2016 and December 2016 Graduates)

Our Dallas, TX office is seeking an Civil EIT with a passion to become a dedicated professional within the land development industry who is interested in joining a team which will foster grow into a leadership position.

This new hire to our team will assist Engineers by performing the routine aspects of civil engineering assignments, subsequently providing familiarity with the programs, staff, and operating procedures of the company.
