Hailie Selassie Collection
Muskingum College’s Long standing connection to the Middle East was underscored by the college being chosen to educate several nephews of Emperor Hailie Selassie in the 1930’s. Professor Ernest Work, an advisor to Selassie, and Chair of the History Department published the only history of Ethiopia available in English at the time of Mussolini’s invasion. A Muskingum graduate, a Medical missionary, was the first to casualty of that war.
