Construction of an external and internal tangents to two equal and unequal circles. Discuss the properties of tangent with students. Group students to discuss the relationships among centres, normals and tangents in groups. Illustrate the construction of tangents to a circle at a given point on the circle and assist students to practise. Illustrate the principles of constructing tangents to a circle from a point outside the circle and assist students to practise. Illustrate the principles involved in constructing external tangents to
