Description
The Shure’s ConferenceONE i Discussion System is extremely easy to install and use. It was developed for use at conferences, meetings, platform discussions and other comparable small- to medium-sized applications. ConferenceONE i integrates Shure’s patented IntelliMix® automatic mixing technology and industry-standard Microflex® gooseneck microphones with everything needed in a system – mixer, amp and high-quality loudspeaker.
A functional system consists of a power supply unit, a chairman console, up to 59 delegate consoles and the necessary connection cables. A setup is built up with a series connection of the consoles (Daisy Chain) to the power supply. External units like mixer, wireless microphones, music sources, recorders or if required, external PA systems can be connected to the power supply. In addition, the power supply provides dedicated balanced audio input and output to connect the discussion system to telephone hybrids or videoconference codecs, as well as a Shure SCM link to integrate up to 200 additional wired and wireless microphones through an SCM automatic mixer.
Systems settings are controlled through the chairman console settings, which include the choice between manual and automatic mode. In manual mode microphones are activated and deactivated by pushing the push-to-talk button. The maximum number of open microphones can be limited from 1 to 8 on the chairman console. With the limit set to 1, a speech timer is displayed in the LCD counting activation time. The integrated NOMA function (number of open microphones attenuator) automatically maintains a consistent output level to prevent feedback and ensure system stability.
In automatic mode microphones are activated automatically utilizing Shure´s patented IntelliMix automatic mixing technology. IntelliMix technology provides hassle- free operation and seamless auto-mixing by integrating the following technology features:
Noise Adaptive Threshold – actively monitors and adjusts to changes in background noise levels to ensure ConferenceONE microphones are activated only for speech-like sounds, avoiding false triggers and undesired, constant background noise.
MaxBus – eliminates muddy, hollow sounding audio associated with comb filtering effects by activating only the single best microphone for each speaker.
Last Mic Lock On – ensures against ambient dropouts by making certain there is always some ambience present when no one is speaking. Without it, any long pause in a conversation would seem like the audio signal is lost.
In automatic mode the microphone button on the console serves as a mute button.
Each console comes with a 2 m Bus cable included; the power supply includes a 10 m Powerline cable as well as a Floor-X adapter.
