Brief Introduction

The World Electric Vehicle Symposium and Exposition (EVS) is founded and organized by World Electric Vehicle Association (WEVA). Since 1969, EVS has been held rotationally in Europe, the America and Asia-Pacific regions. Today, EVS has become the most important platform of international electric drive technology industry for promotion, global networking and technical exchange.

Approved by the State Council and hosted by Electric Vehicle Association of Asia-Pacific (EVAAP), China Electrotechnical Society (CES) and Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE-China), The 25th World Battery, Hybrid and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle Symposium & Exhibition (EVS25) will be staged from November 5-8, 2010 in Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center, China while the conference will be held from Nov 7-9 concurrently. The theme this year is "Sustainable Mobility Revolution".
In EVS-25, the exhibits will cover vehicles, auto parts, and related equipment and devices, including electric bicycles, battery-powered vehicles to fuel cell-driven cars, the relevant parts and components, and equipment for manufacturing and testing. EVS-25 will show the latest technological achievements and the future development trends. It is expected to gather more than 1,500 domestic and foreign scholars, engineers, entrepreneurs and government leaders. The expected exhibiting area will be over 30,000sqm. The world’s leading suppliers in the field will showcase their latest electric vehicles, related products and technology in the fairground.

EVS achieved "Sustainable Mobility Revolution" in 2008 Olympic

During the period of 2008 Beijing Olympic Game, 595 battery, hybrid and fuel cell electric vehicles had been run into operation which carried passengers over three million. Fuel cell cars and fuel cell passenger trains also successfully served Beijing Olympic Games and Paralympics Games Marathon Race. Beijing Olympic Games provided the largest scale energy conservation and new energy vehicles transportation service with most types and advanced techniques in Olympic Games history. It realized “zero emission” in Olympic Centre and “low emission” goal in central zone, surrounding area and Olympic transportation priority line.

Fully support from Chinese Government

On 14 Jan 2009, State Council Executive Meeting approved Automobile Industry Revitalizing Plan and put forward new strategy to promote the industrialization of electric vehicles and the key components. In the next three years, central budget will arrange subsidies, about 30 billion yuan, to support the R&D, demonstration and application of energy conservation and new energy vehicles in big or medium-sized cities.

On 23 Jan 2009, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Science and Technology finalized energy conservation and new energy vehicle demonstration pilot projects in thirteen cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Changchun, Dalian, Hangzhou, Jinan, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Hefei, Changsha, Kunming, Nanchang, supporting independent innovation. Encouraged by the financial policy, energy conservation and new energy electric vehicles have been put into use and popularization in the field of public service, such as bus, taxi, business, environmental sanitation and post office etc.
Greatly supported to new energy vehicles industry by the Chinese government, industrial fields and academic fields, the market scale continually expands, which will build good atmosphere and environment for the success of the 25th International Battery, Hybrid and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle Symposium & Exhibition in China.

Gather global key industrial player and latest EVs

EVS-25 will gather the leaders from government, industry and scientific & technological parties, well-known entrepreneurs, scholars, professors and engineering staff, to have technological exchanges & cooperation on latest technical achievements on electric vehicles, EV future developing direction & strategy, government policies, infrastructure construction, EV commercialization and industrialization, and innovation of high-end industry, etc.
