THE EDGE APPLICATION FORM
Many thanks for requesting an application form for BBC1’s brand new daytime entertainment show, The Edge. We are looking for people to take part in this new and exciting game show which mixes general knowledge questions with a fun new game with a physical element - a mix of bowling and curling! Playing against three other competitors, you will need to race to answer as many questions correctly as you can before you try your luck on the custom-made game area. Your game skills could win you a cash prize!
The application process
If you think you’ve got the knowledge and the skill to win a prize, please complete the following application form, attach a recent photograph of yourself and return as quickly as possible via e-mail to: theedge@bbc.co.uk (you can electronically sign your form) or by post to: Sarah Timbury, BBC Media Centre, MC5 B3, 201 Wood Lane, White City, W12 7TQ. We may contact you to find out a bit more about you.
Please note that unfortunately we are unable to return your application form or photograph.
Completion of this application form does not guarantee your participation in the programme. The BBC may undertake reasonable research following your application prior to deciding whether to take your application further.
Unfortunately professional bowlers who earn their living from such activity are ineligible to take part in this programme. If you require further clarity please contact a member of the production team on 0208 002 4618* or theedge@bbc.co.uk.



Your availability
If your application is successful you’ll be expected to make yourself available for our studio dates. We will be holding auditions for the show around the country in June 2014 and will be recording the show in London during July 2014 – if there are any dates during this time that you are unavailable, please ensure that these are listed in your application form.
Confidentiality


It is very important that you do not disclose any information concerning the programme or your participation in it to any other person or company, by any means (e.g. discussion, letter, photograph, television interview, social networking etc.) without the prior permission of the above BBC representative.
Publicity

All enquiries from the press regarding your contribution to the programme must be referred to the BBC press office. The BBC press office will control all press and publicity relating to the programme and any contribution you make to it.

Please note that all applicants must be aged 18 or over and unfortunately we are unable to confirm receipt of application forms.

Data Protection

The data the BBC collect will be used only for the purposes of research, producing the programme, its transmission and promotion (for example in TV trails, in TV listings magazines and online) and contacting you if necessary about your involvement in the programme before, during and after production.

No data you provide to the BBC will be passed to any third parties, with the exception of freelance and contract staff working as part of the programme production team.
