KALEO ANNOUNCE FALL HEADLINE TOUR
THE HANDPRINT TOUR” KICKS OFF SEPT. 26 IN ATLANTA
A/B” DEBUTS TOP 10 AMONG “CURRENT ALBUMS”
WAY DOWN WE GO” TOP 5 AT ALTERNATIVE

Elektra/Atlantic band Kaleo today announced a fall headline tour, “The Handprint Tour” with special guests Bishop Briggs and The Wind and The Wave. The tour marks the Austin, TX-by-way-of-Iceland-based band’s biggest schedule thus far (see attached itinerary).
The band will hit the road starting July 12th, and the newly announced US leg of “The Handprint Tour” gets underway Monday, September 26th at Atlanta, GA’s Center Stage and includes stops at New York City’s Irving Plaza (October 6th) and Los Angeles’ Fonda Theatre (October 29th), before concluding with a hometown show at Austin, TX’s Emo’s (November 11). Support for most of the newly announced headline shows will come from Bishop Briggs and The Wind + The Wave. Fan pre-sales begin Wednesday, June 22nd; all remaining tickets will then be released to the general public on Friday, June 24th. For complete details and ticket information, please log on to www.officialkaleo.com.
Following the US run and an appearance at Dallas, TX’s Untapped Festival, the band will make their way to Europe for a leg there kicking off November 17 in Glasgow, Scotland, and concluding on November 30 at Amsterdam’s Bitterzoet.
Kaleo’s international debut album, “A/B,” debuted at #10 on SoundScan’s “Current Albums” chart and #15 on the “Billboard 200” this week. “A/B” also nabbed the #3 spot on the “Rock Albums” and “Alternative Albums” charts, and #6 on “Digital Albums.”
Primarily recorded in Nashville alongside producer Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, James Bay), with additional contributions from Mike Crossey, Arnar Guðjónsson and the band, “A/B” includes the multi-format singles, “Way Down We Go,” “No Good,” and “All The Pretty Girls,” all written by Kaleo lead singer JJ Julius Son. In an album review, Rolling Stone claimed “No Good” “stomps like The Black Keys at their meatiest,” while calling “All The Pretty Girls” “a tender bit of Bon Iver-style falsetto bliss.”
Around the world, the album reached top 10 on iTunes in 19 countries, 12 of which saw it reach top 3, including the US, UK, and Canada, where “A/B” debuted in the top spot on the “Top Albums” chart, and #2 on the Billboard “Albums” chart. The band will play three major Canadian festivals in July and August.
Last week, the band performed “Way Down We Go” on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” That song is now #5 at Alternative Radio in the US, and #3 and #5 at Modern Rock and Alternative in Canada, respectively.
