Date: 2 April 1964 Extent: 2 pages Scope and content: Manuscript letter sent from 4 Broughton Gardens, Highgate, London N.6., announcing the death of his wife, Molly, and asking Shillan to tell members of the New Atlantis Group. Date: 24 April 1940 Extent: 1 page, 2 sides Scope and content: Manuscript letter sent from the Anglo-American-Jugoslav Club, Dobrinjska 10/II, Belgrade. Shillan discusses his lack of progress on some business enquiries Alexander had asked him to make, his worries about his family, Alexander's financial expenses, and asks after mutual friends. Notes: A note by a New Atlantis Foundation member suggests Leo Kohlberg may have been the recipient of this letter.

Shillan writes about Belgrade and other Yugoslavian cities, his desire to talk to Playfair, his work and travel in Yugoslavia, and some news of mutual friends.
