An unnamed, 4-foot, 9-inch Omaha, Nebraska woman was recently carjacked. The good news is that she was soon reunited with her briefly stolen vehicle. It seems the carjacker stood over 6-feet tall and couldn’t figure out how to adjust the seat. After uncomfortably wedging himself into the tiny woman’s little car, he gave up and abandoned the vehicle a short distance away.
A thief in China robbed another man of his cell phone and jumped onto a bus in an attempt to make a getaway. The key word in that last sentence is ‘attempt,’ as two students chased the bus and flagged it down. The bus driver stopped and the two students got onto the bus and forced the crook to return the phone. After handing the phone over, the thief again attempted to get away by jumping out the window of the moving bus. His second escape attempt was just as successful as the first as the students pulled him back inside and held him for police.
After more than 180 people contracted salmonella poisoning in recent weeks in Oklahoma, the Center for Disease Control has issued a warning. That warning is for people to stop kissing their chickens. They determined numerous people have trained their chickens as house pets and many infected people admitted to kissing or hugging their birds.

A West Palm Beach, Florida police officer arrested Alan Rossomangno after he was caught shoplifting at a Home Depot. Noticing that Rossomangno appeared to be suffering from drug withdrawal, he was taken to a nearby hospital. While waiting for the paperwork to be processed, one of the officers went to the bathroom. When he returned he found that Rossomangno was gone. Officers later found him at a nearby McDonald's and he now faces additional charges of escaping and resisting arrest.
Florida’s Volusia County Sheriff's Office hired former Put-in-Bay, Ohio, police officer Steven Korossy to join their force. Steven had nearly completed his training program when he was terminated after being indicted by an Ohio grand jury on 14 counts of unauthorized use of the Ohio Law Enforcement Gateway database and one count of falsification. The Volusia County Sheriff's Office says that in the future they will use that newfangled Interweb thingy called Google to screen their hires.
