OTHER INFORMATION ON ST ERTH FAMILY 6 (continued)

Part A
Unconnected Family 9 (JAMES his father AMOS and wife MARY and three sons JOHN 1845 and JAMES-HENRY 1859 & 1861) was constructed from:

  1. information from CHARLES-WILFRID Tregenza on JAMES 1824 (should be 1816 as perhaps son’s year of birth entered with transposition error 1824 for 1842) married Mary Jennings and had JOHN 1845, JAMES-HENRY 1859 and JAMES-HENRY 1861

  2. correspondence and tree from Alice Greenwood of New South Wales (NSW) Australia née Tregenza daughter of THOMAS links in her family: Part of her family was former Unconnected Family 76 constructed from New South Wales (NSW) microfiche by Sandra Tregenza PO Box 932 Geelong 3220 Victoria Australia who also supplied Alice’s tree. Alice Greenwood also reports that a brother who went to New Zealand in 1880's as mining inspector.

  3. the birth certificates of JAMES 1842 and JAMES-HENRY 1859

  4. 1851, 1871 and 1881 censuses (see below)

Unconnected Family 76 was constructed from details supplied by Sandra Tregenza of Geelong Victoria Australia (see notes on Unconnected Family 9).

Unconnected Family 100 (JAMES 1816 wife MARY and children JAMES 1842 to DANIEL 1851) was constructed from:

  1. information from Arthur Childs via Mrs Alice Morrell

  2. Lyn Nash lynnash@webaxs.net

  3. the 1851 census Killenown St Erth (see below)

This family was entirely derived from the 1851 census record below which gives as head of family THOMAS instead of JAMES 1816. The remaining information i.e.: names and ages of wife and children are correct. This combination of names and dates of wife and children only otherwise occurs in St Erth Family 6 (previously Unconnected Family 9 now added in). At census dates other than 1851 JAMES is given as the head – there are no records of THOMAS with these names and dates of wife and children in census or other records and there is no 1851 census records of JAMES with this wife and children. The birth certificates obtained of some of the children indicate their father as JAMES. Therefore this is confirmed as a census enumerator error and Unconnected Family 100 was removed – the information had already been used in Unconnected Family 9 (now St Erth Family 6) in the assumption that this might be an error as suggested by Lyn Nash.
Unconnected Family 135 (MARY 1823 and grand-daughter MINNIE 1879) was constructed from:

  1. 1901 census from www.1901censusonline.com (see below)
