b. If a Soldier does not provide a specimen within
a reasonable period of time, but not less than 3 hours, of reporting
to the UA collection site, the commander may refer the Soldier for medical evaluation.
If this occurs, the commander should ensure the Soldier is escorted to the MTF by a more senior Soldier. If the Soldier is determined to not have a medical condition precluding
them from providing a specimen, the commander should consult with the servicing judge advocate for further guidance.
