      1. Studying the experts is the best way to pick up badassery technique

      2. Create a Self-Score Analysis of your Spring 2015 effort – write on the back of essay.

  • (Wed/Thurs) Read the following two articles:

      1. Choose any 3 stems from Week 3 and reflect on the piece you read in your notes

      2. Be sure to include article title, author and publication date

    • Short Answer Revisions (Sheila and/or Harrison) – INCLUDE Self Score with explanation

      1. Use those same stems to help you with your Expansion/Connection in your short answer. One of the best conclusions for a short answer might be an analogy (comparison). Example: The narrator’s point of view is similar to Kourtney Kardashian who is finally waking up and see how her baby Daddy Scott is not the end all be all that she thought he was.

    • Show proof – write down the line #s proving the correct answer for the m/c portion of 1.4

      PROMPT: In “The Bass, the River, and Sheila Mant”, how does the narrator’s view of Sheila change?







        1. Identify how the narrator felt at first and then identify how the narrator’s feelings are different at the end. Two direct quotes will be needed to provide adequate support. Use STAAR or Beyonce Rubric. You have 10 lines. Write neatly.

    • If you misplace your hard copy of an assignment, then go to FOCUS and print a digital version. Extra paper copies are endangered species in room 267. All graded work needs to be placed in your binder in chronological order by assignment number (1.1, 1.2…2.4…3.5, etc).



    • Kids can check the agenda online. They are to start off with their Wall Street Journal reading activity then complete and turn in 2.1 and 2.2. I reviewed this assignment with every class except period 5, so you may need to spell it out for them. My parking spot is #36 in the College Lot.



    • Kids can check the agenda online and I will leave a hard copy for you. Students are to start off with their Wall Street Journal reading activity. Volunteers in period 5 will need to go retrieve the papers from the tables in front of the auditorium. Two bundles should be plenty. After they finish with THE WSJ, students need to complete and turn in 2.1 and 2.2... see Agenda for details. I reviewed Weekly Agenda prior except with Period 5, so you may need to spell it out for them. My parking spot is #36 in the College Lot.
