If you are installing from IC6.0 CR or ealrier then the the Highlights database needs to be created because IBM Connections 6.0 CR requires anew database for the Highlight Community widget. Go to
C:\Install\CONNECTIONS-CR\IC-CR5\60CR5-database-updates\ From-60CR2\Highlights_DB_Creation\db2 • Review the scripts to and make the appropriate changes the script file to better fit into your system. Refer to the topic Creating a database for details
• If your server already has IBM Connections Engagement Center deployed on it then the XCC database does not need to be created.
Important: Note the username and password that is defined in the script to create the XCC database.
IC 6.0 CR install will prompt for that information. From the db2cmd window
issue the following command C:\Install\Connections-CR\60CR5-database-updates\From-60CR2\Highlights_DB_Creation\db2 >db2 -tvf Create_XCC_DB2_Database.sql Upgrade to IBM Connections 6.0 CR 2/4/2019 Page 13
3.3.3 Update IBM Connections to CR In the Installation
Manager and select File then
Preferences... Add the following repository:
C:\Install\CONNECTIONS-CR\IC-CR5\6.0.0.0-IC-Multi-CR05-LO94188\Updates\repository.config Click
OK. Click
Update.
Upgrade to IBM Connections 6.0 CR 2/4/2019 Page 14 Select
IBM Connections then click Next.

Version 6.0.0.0_CR5 is displayed then click Next.

Ensure that ALL applications are selected then click
Next.
