July 1, 1962: The Akron Beacon Journal ran a story about Pedro Martinez attempting to get back into Akron after Walter Moore had switched back to using Al Hafts booking office. However, Mike Gallagher was turned down for a promoters license by the Akron Boxing and Wrestling Commission. This is likely why Gallagher ran a show in the suburb of Barberton a few weeks earlier.
