A SUN BLOCK FORM MUST BE FILLED OUT ON THE FIRST DAY OF CAMP!!
Welcome to CAMP basicREC!!!! This camp is primarily an outdoor camp and, with that in mind, to protect your child from the sun, we ask that you have your child apply sun block prior to camp. Campers will also apply SPRAY SUN BLOCK regularly while at camp. Greenwood Mill Camp basicREC will move to Stonewall during the week of 7/10.
Campers will need:

If your camper does not have the required items, you may be called and asked to bring the appropriate supplies or to pick up your child.

Weather permitting, on Monday and Wednesday we will venture out to Clearbrook Park to play and have lunch before ending the afternoon at the pool! All campers will have their swimming skills assessed prior to being permitted to swim and color-coded wrist bands will be worn to identify their skills. On pool days, campers should be dropped off at the site by 9:30 a.m. We generally return to site by 4:30 p.m. If you need an earlier pick up on a particular day, you can pre-arrange with camp staff to drop off or pick up at the pool if needed.

On pool days, please pack lunches that will not spoil in the heat. If desired, you can send money with your child for the pool concession stand. Please be advised that there is always the possibility that the concession stand may not be open or might be out of stock. You may not want to rely on it for lunch needs. Staff will not be responsible for managing your childs’ money.
As a reminder, the Recreation Technicians will be your first line of communication when it pertains to this camp. However, you may always contact me (540-665-5678). We have scheduled a very exciting summer for your child and our staff is thrilled to be working with your child(ren)!
Thank you,
