CAREER SUMMARY

Highly motivated, hard working, calm in stressful situations and originally trained at the BBC, Alison has worked as a freelance PRODUCTION MANAGER, LINE PRODUCER/ASSOCIATE PRODUCER, SENIOR MANAGER and PRODUCER and in all areas of television, specialising more recently on large scale live music events and studio based entertainment shows. Alison has managed productions with very small budgets as well as those in excess of £3m. In 2009 Alison trained as a Pilates Teacher and qualified early in 2010. Chair of the Production Managers Association 1997-2000, and again 2011 to current.

2013-14 National Television Awards 2014 (Indigo for ITV1) – Line Producer

Live two and a half hour awards show from O2 London presented by Dermot O’Leary.



2013 BBC Proms 2013 (BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, BBC4) - Series Production Manager

Supervising Production Manager on 27 televised concerts across the entire 2013 Season, including for the first time the Urban Prom on BBC3. Responsible for all budgeting and maintenance of budget.



2012 The National Lottery Awards 2012 (BBC1) - Producer

40 min live Saturday night entertainment awards show presented by John Barrowman with celebrity guest presenters, winners’ films and a live performance from Leona Lewis



2012 BBC Proms 2012 (BBC1, BBC2, BBC4 and 3D) - Series Production Manager

Supervising Production Manager on 27 concerts across the entire 2012 Season. Complex outside broadcasts with the Last Night of the Proms broadcast live in 3D to HD Channel and selected Odeon cinemas. Responsible for all budgeting and maintenance of budget.



2011 Trust Us With Your Life (Angst for ABC USA) - Production Manager

8 x 60 mins comedy/improv show with presenter Fred Willard interviewing celebrities and improv artists including Wayne Brady, Colin Mochrie and Ryan Styles



Young Dumb and Living Off Mum – Series 3 (Monkey Kingdom for BBC3)

6 x 60 mins reality programme following 8 young adults who live away from home for the first time in a house. Parents set them work tasks and vote the worst one out of the house.



2010 Swingin’ Christmas (BBC 2) - Production Manager

90 min celebration of festive musical treats from the 'golden age of Swing' presented by Michael Parkinson with the sensational John Wilson Orchestra, soloists Seth MacFarlane, Anna-Jane Casey and special guest Curtis Stigers broadcast on BBC2 on Christmas Day



National Lottery’s Big Night (BBC 1) - Production Manager

65 min awards ceremony presented by John Barrowman live from The Roundhouse with guest presenters and live performances by McFly and Taio Cruz.



2009 National Lottery Big 7 (BBC1) - Production Manager

90 min live awards/celebrity quiz studio show with music acts presented by Nick Knowles and Myleene Klass



Tonight’s the Night (BBC 1) - Production Manager

6 x 60 mins entertainment/wish fulfilment studio based shows presented by John Barrowman with special guests, extracts from West End Musicals and live bands.



2008 New Year Live 2008 (BBC1) - Production Manager

Live OB from HMS Belfast with Simply Red, Russell Watson, Alesha Dixon, Only Men Aloud.



Maestro (BBC2) (2 x 90 mins, 3 x 60 mins, 1 x 30 mins) - Production Manager

Studio based HD classical music series in which 8 celebrities want to become conductors presented by Clive Anderson – series winner Sue Perkins.



2007 Liverpool Nativity (BBC3) - Line Producer/Associate Producer

Live musical drama entertainment telling the story of the Nativity on the streets of Liverpool. Large multi camera OB production taking place at 8 locations, transmitted December 2007. Awards: Czech TV Festival – Special Award; Guild of Lighting Cameramen – Best Camera Team and Special Award for Steadicam Operator
