Inputs; input devices commonly associated with an AIS include; standard personal computers or workstation running applications, scanning devices for standardized data entry etc.
Processes; this is the transformation of data from input to output. The underlying processing model is still double entry accounting system.
Outputs; any way used to display the results of the processing. These include; computer displays, printers.

System flowchart; is a way of displaying how data flows in a system and how decisions are made to control evets. To illustrate this symbols are used.it is useful in system analysis, design and evaluation.
Document flowchart; illustrate the flow of documents and information among areas of responsibility within an organization.
Data flow diagram; is a graphical description of the source and destination of data that shows data flow within an organization, the processes performed on the data and how are stored.
Process map; is a management tool used to depict the flow of work and the steps and people involved in a business process.
