Alto Saxophone Northwest Junior High All-District Band Audition Materials

1. 
   Students will play selected scales from the following major scales. These scales are to be prepared at least one octave, and scales are listed by their starting pitch. Memorization is not required.
   

C, F, Bb, Eb, Ab, G, D, A, E

2. 
   Students will play the chromatic scale at least one octave. Memorization is not required.
   

3. 
   Students will prepare the following two etudes. They are from Rubank Supplementary Studies by R. M. Endersen, Hal Leonard Publishing.
   

4. 
   Auditions will be blind
   

5. 
   Students must audition on the correct material. If a student prepares the incorrect material, the student may either sight-read the correct material or not audition and receive a refund of his/her audition fee.
   

6. 
   Immediately following the auditions, students and the directors will receive music, if selected for the band.
