In an effort to ensure that Atlanta Public Schools students are prepared for college and careers, the Office of Career, Technical and Agricultural Education and L’Academie de Toulouse of France agree to implement a College and Career Enrichment Exchange Program in accordance with the principles and guidelines set forth below. The purpose of this agreement is to strengthen technical education and training for students and teachers by providing exposure and cultural awareness to students and teachers via an international experience. With this goal in mind, students will be “well-rounded individuals who possess the necessary academic skills and knowledge” to succeed in the 21^st Century workplace.

1. 
   General Principles:
   

The objective of this agreement is to define the terms of cooperation which would allow the development of shared educational activities striving to:

  Provide international educational experiences for students and teachers in the technical subject areas
  

• 
  Expose students to international workforce trends in France and America
  

• 
  Build cultural awareness in the areas of language acquisition, fine arts and economics
  

• 
  Increase collaboration and develop relationships between professional institutions
  

• 
  Provide international apprenticeship and internship opportunities to students
  

• 
  Support cooperative learning projects between partnering regions
