| 5. Literature Review Shikha Singh (2019) Foreign Direct Investment in India A review This paper gives us a review of the FDI policies and the current scenario in India. It says that India has become one of the most attractive emerging markets globally. The flow of funds has helped the country in advancement of technology, skill upgradation, employment generation, better infrastructure and management. It is observed that in order to have structural transformation there is a proactive policy formulation by the Government of India. The paper answers the question of why the Indian manufacturing sector is not attractive for FDI. Thus, it says that Indian manufacturing is not globally competitive. Also, in future, as the labour costs goes up, manufacturing will slowly die down in India and can have serious impacts on the investments. This paper also states that growth has been jobless and has an uneven spread. The Government of India has to remove the huge amount of infrastructure bottlenecks along with stringent labour laws for various sectors to prosper better.
