Why was it apparently impossible to unite the various Spanish colonies to create a United States of Latin America? What was the purpose of Bolivar’s Jamaica Letter?

  10. Describe the economic, social, and political conditions of Latin America following independence. What is a caudillo? What were the materials/products that were exported to industrializing countries from Latin America during this time?
