Marine Operation Assistant Job Description Atlantic Container Line, a leader in international transportation, has an immediate opening for a highly motivated experienced individual for its Terminal Operations department. This position is located in our Westfield, NJ office. Candidate will be responsible for attending and successfully supervising all aspects of our stevedoring and terminal operations for Lolo and RoRo cargo. Other responsibilities include generating cost accruals, reviewing and approving invoices, assisting management in cost control, and coordinating stowage with our central planning department. A maritime college degree with two to three years of maritime experience is required. Preferred candidate should have knowledge of containerized and RoRo/Auto cargo operations. Candidate must be proficient with PC based applications. Also, have excellent verbal and written manners, organizational skills, and works well with others in a high energy team environment. Successful candidate will possess skills to act independently in the best interest of the company. Candidate needs to be flexible with the ability to conform to pressure situations, be able to work outdoors, during varied hours, and various weather conditions. Some weekend, night, and holiday work are required. Domestic travel is required. Excellent benefits package with competitive salary offered.
