Prior to Change:

  1. REQUIREMENTS

    1. ATT-TP-76416

      1. Instructions for ordering a copy of ATT-TP-76416 (ATT-TP-76403) are in Section 1, of ATT-TP-76400.

      2. The Detail Engineer (Internet Services Engineer) shall engineer to the applicable bonding and grounding requirements of ATT-TP-76416, Grounding and Bonding Requirements for Network Facilities. For convenience, the sub sections of ATT-TP-76416 are outlined below:

        1. Definitions, General and Material Requirements

        2. Office Ground Electrodes, Vertical and Horizontal Equalizers, AC Service and Distribution System

        3. Power Plants and Equipment, Transport and Miscellaneous Equipment

        4. Isolated Bonding Networks for Network Equipment Systems, Data Processing/Operational Support Systems Equipment

        5. Electronic Equipment Enclosures, Attended Position Equipment, Equipment Trailers, Customer Premises Equipment

        6. Non-Mobility Radio Sites and Equipment

        7. Mobility Radio Sites and Equipment

          • Annex A – Reference Documents and Information

          • Annex B – Revisions to Text and Information

          • Annex C – Index to Figures and Tables

    1. Specification Notes

      1. The building DESP (Internet Services Engineer) shall provide specification notes requiring the building installation supplier to provide documentation of placement and composition of an earth electrode system.

      2. When an earth electrode system is provided, the building DESP (Internet Services Engineer) shall provide specification notes requiring the building installation supplier to provide advance notification to AT&T for inspection and testing prior to back fill.

      3. The DESP (Internet Services Engineer) shall provide a specification note requiring the existing grounding convention be followed.



Post Change:

  1. REQUIREMENTS

2.1. AT&T Grounding and Bonding Documentation

      1. For traditional wireline and wireless equipment installations in conventional spaces, the Detail Engineer (Internet Services Engineer) shall engineer to the applicable bonding and grounding requirements of ATT-TP-76416, Grounding and Bonding Requirements for Network Facilities.

      2. For AT&T Integrated Cloud (AIC), Internet Services, and Video equipment installations in conventional spaces, the Detail Engineer (Internet Services Engineer) shall engineer to the applicable bonding and grounding requirements of ATT-TP-76403, Grounding and Bonding Requirements for AT&T Integrated Cloud, Internet Services, and Video Facilities.

      3. At the time of this revision (December 2015), bonding and grounding requirements specific to AT&T Modular Technical Space (MTS, aka Modular Data Center and ‘containers’) have not been determined. MTS bonding and grounding requirements will be determined on a case by case basis until standards are developed.
